equipment. Many of these questions are taken from the feedback

Speaker Power Impedance |

Q Is it a problem, when the power of speakers are weaker
than the capacity of the receiver or amplifier ? (speakers
: 4 or 6 Ohms - receiver 8 Ohms)
A If the amplifier sees a smaller load then recommended
(load is the impedance value of the loudspeaker ), then
it risks over heating. This can burn out electrical components.
So it's always better to follow the recommendations and
choose the correct values. However if there is no choice
but to use low impedance value loudspeakers, follow these
tips.
- Try adding some resistors to "up the load" in series
- Buy another set of speakers (exactly the same), and
wire them in series together to increase the load.
